How far in advance should I book?

It’s never to early to start planning and get your vendors booked for your event date! Whether your event is 6 weeks away or 12 months, it’s the perfect time to nail down your event florals and chat details with me!


What does the booking process look like as a Sticks & Stems Client?

First, inquire using the form linked here. This will allow us to check availability for your event date, and gather the base information needed for your event. If your event date is not currently booked, you will be sent a detailed questionnaire so that an initial proposal can be drafted. Following the initial proposal, a discovery call will be scheduled to discuss details and answer your questions. If you’re ready to move forward at this point, a retainer will be paid and a full in depth consultation will be booked. You are officially on the calendar at this point and a Sticks & Stems Client!


What is an average budget?

Every wedding and event is unique in style, florals used, seasonality, location, and quantities. These all largely impact the cost of florals. Sticks & Stems Floral, therefore, offers customized pricing for each client. If you’re wanting florals to serve as your main decor, consider setting aside 30% of your overall budget. If they are there to complement your other items typically spend 15-20% of your overall budget.


What do I need to do before the consultation?

It's okay if you don't have all of the answers or details decided on! That's something that we can do together. Come to your consultation with the knowledge of a general style selected, colors, and quantities of the products you know that you'll need. We advise having your venue selected prior to our consultation so that we can discuss the space and designs that might need to be created for it! It's always a great idea to bring someone along whether its your MOH or MOB, or even your Groom! Someone that can support you and help you make decisions and ask questions. 


How does set up and delivery work?

This can vary between weddings, location, and how intense the set up will be. You can always expect Sadie to be there to set up and typically at least 1 assistant, sometimes more! If ever an assistant will be the one to deliver and/or set up a wedding you will always be informed and given the information prior. Don't be concerned, these individuals are all experienced and equipped to handle the wedding at task! Cost also depends on the intensity and allotted time for set up. If you have a small time frame and large set up cost per hour will be higher to help cover all of the assistants that will need to be brought to ensure that flowers are completed before guests arrive! 


Are we a good fit for you?

When selecting a florist you want to make sure you are confident in their designs and you trust and value their opinion. Sadie strives to be transparent with each client and talk openly about things such as design, cost, and logistics. Sticks and Stems take pride in their work and creativity. If your style doesn't line up with ours we are happy to give you recommendations for a florist that might be better suited for you. The last thing we want is to have you upset with the design provided or your experience. Each client is unique and you deserve to have a florist that is able to provide what it is you're looking for, and sometimes that means it's not Sticks and Stems!
